An originals and covers project, well-known Jaida Blue Rock and Soul Review vocalist Jorena Faulkner and funk bassist David Hasinfelt have now joined forces with veteran drummer Jody Wright and rock guitar virtuoso David Carter to create a unique and creative style of music with a signature sound.
Influenced by visionary artists such as Jaco Pastorius, Joe Satriani and Jimi Hendrix, Hasinfelt brings his eclectic passion for total musical appreciation and more than 30 years of experience to the stage, combining it with the award-winning lyrical fusillade and soulful, realistic vocal expressions of Jorena Faulkner to create a deep and introspective fusion of rock, jazz and R&B. Coupled with the stadium driven, radio-friendly original compositions of David Carter and the hard driving backbeat of drummer Jody Wright, Jaida Blue has now set its sights on recording and breaking industry standards by bringing their music to the Louisville forefront.
From the upbeat, smooth jazz tempo of Comfort Me — with its "Pastoriesque" fluid bass harmonics — and the liberating anthem Free, to the haunting lyrics of Shades of Blue and catchy backbeat of Flipside, Jaida Blue combines originals, fresh reworks of classic favorites, and rarely heard cover tunes for a true musical adventure.
